Todays picture shows Nicole and me enjoying a moment on one of our camping trips with Deb.
OLD PICTURES- My folks health is not so good and we are taking a break from toy building and spending time with them.
I was posting old pictures instead of posting nothing, but it seems unaceptable to some viewers and I understand that.
So I am taking a break from the webpage as not to frustrate anyone,
Spending time with my folks reminds me to live like I am dying and not take today for granted.
Ever since my sister was killed I never took life for granted. But I am now reminded again to enjoy each day to it’s fullest.
Enjoying time with my folks is my first priority right now.
Hope you all understand.
Have a great weekend !!!!!

Gaylord Couple makes it 37 years of Marriage. Don and Debbie Campbell beat the odds !!
37th Wedding Anniversary - Todays picture was taken 37 years ago. I had just returned from getting drafted into the Army and I was home on leave from Basic Training. Not knowing if I would be going to Viet-Nam Deb and I wanted to get married. We drove to Gaylord, Michigan and tryed getting married at a church but the preacher would not marry us. So the next day we decided to get married at the Gaylord Courthouse. It was bittersweet as we both knew I may have to go to Viet-Nam. Fortunately that never happened and I did return from the Army to live a fun life with Deb and Nicole. My mom had a nice little reception and a nice cake made by her friend Sandy.
Deb is my best friend and she is the best wife and mom I could have ever asked for.
Have a great Tues. with the ones you love !!

Gaylord runner- Just two more days until race day . 25 years ago I used to run 5 miles every morning . It was rare I would miss a day . Often my sister Sandy who lived next door to us would run with me and we talked about entering our first race together at the Highland Festival Run. Once in a while her son Greg would run with us too.
Sandy went jogging alone one evening and never returned.
She was killed .
I never ran again for 25 years.
This first race of my life will be very exciting but also very emotional.
I will be running with my daughter Nicole , my wife Deb and Nicole’s husband Bill.
I never dreamed I would ever run again let alone run with Deb, Nicole and Bill.
That was a defining moment in my life 25 years ago and I even ended up quitting my job and we moved away.
I always hoped something good would come out of something so bad.
After 25 years a few good things happened over the years and this is one of them. Sandy will be in my thoughts as I run this race on Sat.
25 years ago I was a workaholic but after that I always put Deb and Nicole first and enjoyed everyday. That was another postive thing that happened from this tragedy.
Have a great Thurs.
