DAN AND DEBBIE UPDATE- My mom said Dan and Debbie are glad to be home , they are staying with their daughter Danielle and her family. She said Dan can walk pretty good now , but isn’t quite back to normal yet. Debbie is doing some light duties in the kitchen with Danielle . God sure was watching over them that day . It will be great if they end up thanking God by being strong Christians one day and sharing God’s Word with others.
DON AND DEBBIE UPDATE- Deb and I are doing pretty good too, we are pretty sore as we have walked 60+ miles in the last ten days. We are on day 9 and doing excellent on our obesity problems. We are still obese , but the good news is we aren’t gaining weight, ha,ha. Deb and I have walked at least 3 miles almost everyday for the last 25 years. So our problem isn’t so much the exercise, it’s the portion size and our non-healthy choices. We are just starting to feel good . I had a dream last night I was getting attacked by a monster slab of Barbe-Cued Spare Ribs !! Not quite sure what that means ?????
HOUGH PAYDOZER FInaL ASSEMBLY- I have the Paydozer almost assembled now. I will post the finished model later this week.
MICHIGAN 675 LOADER, FIRST PICTURE PROGRESS- Here is the first progress picture of the 675 loader thatr held the world record for many , many years. Even today , it holds the no. 2 or three worlds record in size. This picture shows the first side of the machine as I work out the over all look of the right side. There is nothing on the left side built yet. You can get a little idea of me roughing in the model. The next step is to build the pivot frame brackets. Most of the parts are just sitting in place right now and are not attached yet.
PICTURE BELOW THIS ONE- The picture below this one is of me looking like an American Idol, ha,ha.

Sanjaya Malakar - American Idol ?? Or Don Campbell, American Model Builder ??

Sanjaya Malakar was one of last seasons final 10 singers on the TV Show. Deb was looking at a picture she took of me a while back and she thought I looked a little bit like Sanjaya Malakar ?? , ha,ha.
This picture was taken in the 70’s at our old house near Alma, Michigan . My sister , Sandy, lived next to us and you can see the grain bins at their house. We used to go to sleep every night, all fall listening to the Corn dryer running drying the corn next door. These days once in a while I go to sleep hearing Deb’s hair dryer running, ha,ha.

GAYLORD ALPENFEST - Deb and I walked our 3 mile walk this morning through mainstreet of Gaylord and everything was back to normal. All the food stands , craft booths and carnival rides were gone. The street sweeper had already done his job. All that was left was a few stains on the pavement from the cooking booths.
Now the memories will last til the next Alpenfest.
Sad to say as I get older , the Alpenfest seems to come around a lot quicker , now days I don’t measure time so much from weekend to weekend, but more by the months and by the different seasons.
The old timers used to say as they got older time seemed to go faster and faster. I sure see what they were saying . When I look at this nice picture of Deb and my mom from the past, it reminds me to cherish the moments as they are flying by.
I try to live each day as if it were my last day, and I try to think ,would I have any regrets.
Most days, I think I am very content. My biggest regret is I am not as strong as a Christian as I had hoped to be. But I won’t give up , I will continue that fight til my last day .
As a Chistian I know I have a chance to be with my loved ones again , and that is what keeps me focused in the right direction.
GOODBYES ARE THE LAW OF THE EARTH ,
REUNIONS ARE THE LAW OF HEAVEN .
Have a nice Sunday with the ones you love.
