We have lived in Gaylord on N. Ohio Street for 24 years . For the last 23 years the City Snowplows have thrown gravel and dirt from the shoulder of the road into the lawn up to 15 feet into the lawn.
Gaylord received over 180 inches of snow last winter . The city plows go out every time we get betweeen on and two inches. So that is a lot of times the plows go by and a lot of dirt and gravel in the lawns by the time spring arrives.
Nothing anyone can do to stop it, it’s just the way it is when you have gravel on the shoulders of the road in front of your property.
WELL, This winter will be different !!!!!! , Oh Yea !!
As of yesterday , we now have brand new curbs on the whole mile of N. Ohio Street.
So now the snowplows will have to jump the curb and dig down into my lawn to dig it up from now on.
I’m not saying that couldn’t happen, ha,ha.
Some of them snowplow drivers want to plow right up to our front porch, LOL .
My friend Tom is one of them, ha,ha.
Hough Paydozer model update- I got the engine built and bolted into the frame. Now I am cutting out the first parts for the rear ripper assembly.
Have a nice Wed.

NINETY - SIX DEGREES - The thermometer at the bank yesterday said 96 degrees. That is hot for Northern Michigan this early in the summer. Deb and I have been getting up early and getting our three mile walk in when it is cooler.
SAD FAMILY NEWS - Deb and I are failing at our latest weight loss program. It just looks like our family and friends are going to have to like us as a couple and a half instead of just a couple, LOL !!
Seriously, We are not discouraged , over the weekend we biked 20 miles and we walked 20 miles and we were proud we were the healthiest plump old people on the trails, ha,ha. No, Really !! (:>).
GLAD FAMILY NEWS- My mom and sister spent the afternoon with my brother and his wife and she said they were doing the best yet. She said they had a room full of company and everyone was was having a nice time . She said Dan isn’t on any painkillers now and he was feeling very good. Mom said he will probably be home by the end of this week. She said Debbie is getting around in the wheelchair and making great progress too. So in just over two weeks , they have made excellent progress.
Cat 10 Scraper- Here is another cool old machine the owner , Glen showed us at the Antique Outdoor Caterpillar Museum or Deb’s version; Another junkyard to walk through, ha,ha.
Hough Paydozer Scraper Model Progress- I am doing this one a little different and today I am building the engine. I should get it done and bolted into the frame by tonight. Normally I wait til last to build the engine, but i wanted to change the normal building routine .
Have a nice Tues.

Don Campbell talks about M&M Excavator Co. digging up peoples nice lawns.
No case of ( THE MONDAYS ) for Deb today. One of the daycare kids moms called last week and said she was just going to have her older son watch her pre-schooler the rest of the summer.
So Deb now has the rest of the summer of working NO MONDAYS !!and NO FRIDAYS. !! Deb has been walking around jumping up and down the house so excited all weekend !!!!!!!!
So we are trying to work my schedule out so I can do the same, ha,ha.
Once school starts in the fall , Deb will go back to five days again.
Deb is a very hard worker and has been a hard worker her whole life. I am very excited for her to just watch kids three days a week during the summer.
P.S. - No case of the (MONDAYS) for me today either , I took today off too , Oh YEA !!!!!!!! We’re going to go have a fun Mon. (:>).
DAN UPDATE- There is a good chance he could be sent home this week as they wanted to send him home last week.
HOUGH PAYDOZER MODEL- Tomorrow I will get back to working on it.
LAWN DAMAGE - The guys from M&M excavating have been very good about not digging up anyones yards other than the small areas needed to be dug up. Many of them heard I built models of machinery and have enjoyed seeing my models in person on their breaks. They have started pouring the curbs the first four blocks south of us.
Hope your Mon. is going to be as enjoyable as ours, ha,ha.
