Don Checks out a Cat D-9G at the Antique Heavy Equipment Museum.

Here is one of three pics of this nice old Cat D-9G with a factory cab.
Glenn said he just bought it a couple weeks ago. I asked him if anyone even wanted these old Dozers anymore . He said not too much, but because this one had very low hours and the undercarriage was in excellent condition, he said it was a great buy.
He also said he has two people that want to buy it for three times what he paid for it. But he loves the old machines and collects them and said he enjoys keeping them.
There is a Cat D-8 sitting behind this one that he also just bought at the same place. If you go to the ( Cat Dozer) section in the photo gallery, you can see two more angles of this D-9G.
CAT NO. 16 GRADER PROGRESS- I have the front axle roughed in and attached to the frame. Now all six wheels are on it. Next I am cutting out the parts for the blade and the blade circle and the blade A-frame.
TEREX TITAN WHEEL UPDATE - This afternoon I will get the wheels redone with the orange centers. If all goes well, I will post the updated final look of the monster haul truck tomorrow.

DON CAMPBELL’S HOMETOWN ( THE LITTLEMAN ) VIDEO

DON CAMPBELL’S HOMETOWN ( THE LITTLEMAN ) VIDEO

This video we took two weeks ago as we traveled through our old home towns where Deb and I both grew up.
The small stores still trying to survive with the big box stores slowly pushing them out. The video shows the Breckenridge, St.Louis , Alma , Shepherd and Mt.Pleasant areas that we lived around .
It shows a John Deere Dealership and a IH Dealership I used to love to pass by with my mom and see all the tractors and even at that young age I remember being in awe
Seeing some of the old buildings I used to go to as a young boy now closed up and The old post office where I got my social security no.
The old closed up gas station on the corner that I used to walk my bike down to get air in the tires. The grain elevator we lived across from and remembering the grain dryers running on those hot summer nights. The old resturaunt I used to go to get fountain drinks that they used to make in front of you while you waited.
Seeing the old Hardware Store I bought my first bike at age 11 after working in the fields picking cucumbers for the area farmers.
Many of you say you enjoy the personal side of my webpage too . Hope you enjoy this little video as this area of central Michigan is the place that effected my interests today as a model builder and my love for machinery.
I want to thank Kevin from Colo. for letting me use his old gas pumps and thank Tony from Colo. for posing by them, ha,ha.
Hope you enjoy the latest video.
Tomorrow I’ll get back to the normal routine.

Jerk Dumptruck- Here is one of four pictures of another very unique antique dumptruck from the past. The owner said to dump the box you would release a lever and then back up and slam on the brakes and the jerk was what made the box dump. He said it was built off center so it would easily dump.
This is another machine that would be great fun to build into a cool model. I really enjoy these rare trucks and heavy equipment machines from the past.
The picture below this one shows me in the drivers seat. Also there are more pics of it in the ( trucks section ).
Camping trip is winding down- Well, it’s another sunny day on the Canadian / U.S. border.
We saw lots of boats go through yesterday and one unusual one with a load that we never saw before and we took some video of it. We will post that clip later this week.
GLAD TO BE BACK IN THIS COUNTRY- It’s always fun spending the time in other countries , but it gets confusing driving on the opposite side of the road when you go abroad. People are always honking at me forcing me back to the right side of the road, LOL !!
Have a nice Memorial Day and say a little prayer for Peace on Earth .
