Terex Titan 33-19 Model Project Progress- I got the bottom of the box , the sides and the front of the box roughed in now. The dump box hinges are also roughed in and the box shell is attached to the truck frame . This morning I worked on the box overhang that covers the cab and engine area.
FROST ON THE TRACTOR SEATS THIS MORNING- It got down to 31 degrees overnight and there was frost on everything this morning.
SPRING CLEANUP TODAY- The grass is very wet this morning, but I got everything ready to go as soon as things dry out a little.
The above picture is what this next model will look like when it is completed. The collector who ordered this model requested this paint version of the truck is what he wants like it looked when painted for Westar Mining . This picture shows higher sideboards on the box for when it hauled coal . I like the higher side boards , it makes the truck even more massive.

My folks just returned from Florida last week so Deb and I made the drive down Sat. morning and spent the day with them. We can see they are getting almost elderly as Deb and I are too, ha,ha.
Even though all four of us are starting to lose our memories , we still had a lot of laughs and it was a very fun day with them, LOL
We also made a stop at the farm to see their newest edition to the John Deere Tractors they use on their farm. This picture was one Deb took of me and my very nice mom standing next to the tractor tire.
They also purchased a nice tandem axle , steel box 750 bu. farm truck and a brand new JD 28 ft. field cultivator.
With the price of corn up , the farmers have been overdo to update some of their equipment. It was mentioned that they also might trade in their JD 4955 tractor for a JD 4wheel drive articulating one, OH YEA !!
They have 6 John Deere Tractors they use on the small farm north of St.Louis , Mi.
TRI-STATE MINE COLLAPSE- I got a E-mail today from a friend of one of the miners wives who lost their husband last week. She told me that my friend John who operated the big shovel that was used to do most of the digging to uncover the trapped miners . She said John did not leave the mine even one time until they found his friends under the rocks and dirt. She also told me thank-you for posting all the pics on my webpage of the machines. She said people just don’t realize from one picture in the paper how massive these machines really are.
SPRING CLEANUP HAS STARTED FOR ME- Last week I changed over the snowblower tractor and did some more spring cleanups. I got rained out today , but that is good as it was very dry in our area.
WEIGHT LOSS PROGRESS- Deb and I made it 2 weeks now on our spring downsizing plan. I lost another 3.5 lbs. and deb lost another 1.5 lbs. We are just starting to feel better now after eating healthy and increasing our daily exercise for the last two weeks. There is no easy way, just low calories, healthy choices, portion control , and daily exercise. And most of all, (TIME ), lots of that.
CORVETTE IS NOW OUT OF STORAGE - Last Thurs. we pulled the Vette out of storage and got it set up and we started driving it. It is still fun to have because we have 34 years of fun memories in our Corvettes .
TEREX TITAN MONSTER TRUCK MODEL PROGRESS- I did not spend much time in the workshop last week because spring work began outside. I operate a small lawn care business and have done so for 17 years now. So now the toy building will slow down a little . I did get the frame roughed in and the axles and ten tires are now mounted to the frame. I also cut out the first 50 or so pieces to start the construction of the dump box. Because it is raining , I should get part of the box built this afternoon.
There is another picture below this one of me in the JD Tractor they just got recently.

Here is a picture of me checking out the new tractor they bought recently. Conditions were wet in central Michigan so the farmers had not gone to work yet tilling up the ground.
We rode over to Saginaw, Freeland and Midland but we saw the fields were wet all over.
