SUNDAY MESSAGE- Slowing down and enjoy today;
In our need to always try to get more done, we tend to overschedule everything. Then we find ourselves behind all the time , we hop in the car and speed hear and there . We hurry to get the kids to bed to get a little break and realize another hectic day is finally over. We forget that when today is over, we will never get it back . We forget that each day done is closer to our last day on earth.
As I get older , I find myself appreciating even the days I spend in my workshop. I used to work for the weekends and try to hurry the days in between . Now I finally think I got it and do realize how special everyday really is.
Deb’s weeks are pretty hectic with 6 pre-schoolers and it’s hard for her to relax until the last one is gone at 5:00. So on the weekends we have always set aside for nice relaxing rides in the car and us just talking for hours as we ride to our favorite places. This picture of Deb and I was one of those great weekends we had enjoying our relaxing time together. I still have so much fun with Deb everyday.
IF YOUR WORKING HARD TO MAKE A LIVING
NEVER TAKING TIME TO SMELL THE ROSES
NOW IT’S TIME TO PICK UP THE BIBLE
AND FIND TRUE JOY BEFORE TODAY CLOSES
( COME APART AND REST A WHILE OR YOU MAY JUST PLAIN COME APART)
Have a nice Sunday with the ones you love

APPLETON, WIS. - Here is a picture of Bob Ludolph from Minn. watching Tom and I load his 1/8th scale 747 Big Bud into his vehicle. We met Bob and his wife in Appleton to deliver it to him.
Many people think I only built one of the big 747 tractors , but I did build two of them.
The toy company put two of them out in the beginning as a set. One with the white hood and silver exhaust stacks and one with the black hood and black exhaust stacks. So actually I built one set of them. I’m sure either of these collectors would enjoy having both of them to have the complete set. They both love the Big Buds.
The reason I am posting this is because we bought the Big 747 Bud book a couple weeks ago that John Harvey published . The book had a nice article about my one of a kind 1/8th scale 747 Big Bud , and how it was the only one built that large and that it was a one of a kind model. This will let a lot of people know there are really two of them. To a serious collector (one of a kind ) means A LOT !!
I had talked to both Fred and Bob the summer I built them and they new that there would be two built and not just one.
They were very cool tractor models. I have another collector friend that REALLY wants me to build him one too, but I told him two was all I would build in 1/8th scale. Maybe someday I will build a set of them in 1/4 scale, (:>), NOW WE’RE TALKING !!!!!! LOL
I would love to make 1/8th scale models of a John Deere, IH, Allis-Chalmers , Oliver, Versatile , Ford, Case, Massey-Ferguson, Steiger, Wagner, and even a Belarus. They would all be 4 wheel drive articulating tractors. I love big tractors too.
The picture below this one shows Fred and Nancy Searson next to their 1/8th scale 747 Big Bud .
Have a nice Sat.

Setting the record straight about how many 1/8th scale Big Buds I built
Here is a picture of Fred and Nancy Searson from Kenton, Ohio standing next to their 1/8th scale 747 Big Bud Tractor I built for them. You can see the white hood and the silver exhaust stacks. This is the only one like this that I built.
We recently bought the ( BIG 747 BUD ) book that John Harvey put out and I saw a couple pictures of my first 1/8th scale 747 Big Bud Model in it. There was a nice write-up about it and Fred and Nancy said some very nice things about me and my model .
But just to set the record straight , it says that I only built one 1/8th scale 747 Big Bud Tractor.
I actually built two of the 1/8th scale 747 Big Buds.
