Here is another cool picture Deb took of me on one of our coal mine tour adventures. We took about 100 pictures on each tour and some of them I wanted to post again for the new first time visitors that have started visiting my webpage in the last few months and for some of you that might have missed them before they were deleted the first time I posted them. It was a very cool view in the operators seat of this awesome shovel. We got to climb up to the top of the boom and then we explored everything in the engine room , John was a great tour guide.
I am busy working on the Cat D-9G Dozer this morning , I got the parts for the consoles cut out and the seat and battery box and they should be all welded and bolted in place by tonight. After lunch I will work on the decals for the LeTourneau Loader model. Should get that all done this afternoon and post the pics of it tomorrow. We still got mild temps in Gaylord today with light drizzle and fog. The weatherman is still saying cold air on Fri. with snow back in the forcast. It’s definately time now to get a good snow pack on the ground for the winter tourist season of sking and snowmobiling.

Deb and I made it back home Sat. night from our three day get-a-way. We had a great mini vacation . Today we will get back in the routine a little bit . The weatherman is saying the cold north wind will be back on Thurs. with some possible snow along with it. We stopped at Spicers Snowmobile Dealership in Houghton Lake , Michigan on our way home and checked out the new snowmobilers and 4 wheelers. They got some cool stuff their.
Deb got a new Dell Desktop Computer last week , so that makes her two new computers and a new I-pod in the last couple months. And I have got nothing, so I thought I better get busy looking for a new toy for me . She said I could buy a new four wheeler if i wanted too, but I told her I am too old for those now. I had three of them over the years and they were great fun , but I wouldn’t get much fun out of it now. So I’m still looking for now , my toy buying days are winding down. My tractors and my Corvette are still pretty fun to have. Deb did give me her old Dell computer so that was pretty nice of her, ha,ha.
The picture of the Euclid Dump Truck with Deb and I standing by it was taken when we visited the coal mines in Maryland . This truck was sitting next to some machines that looked like they were being worked on .
LeTourneau Loader Progress- Tomorrow I will make the last decals for the model and get them on in the afternoon and take it out back in the sand pit and take some pics of it to post on Tues. picture on the webpage. It is all done except for a few remaining decals. It is looking pretty cool.
Cat D-9G Dozer Model Progress- By the end of this week that model should be looking good , I should have the overall outside shape of it all roughed in . Then the engine and the front blade will be left to build.
Have a nice Sunday with the ones you love.

Deb and I are enjoying our little holiday get away. The weather has been great. 62 degrees yesterday.
Deb forgot to bring my speedo or I would have been tempted to go to the Beach, ha,ha.
Looks like another day with sunshine and warm temps.
This picture is another machine I picked out a couple years ago that I want to build a model of someday. I have tires with this tread so I like to pick the machines also by the tires they have on them and the type of tire I can locate.
Have a nice Sat.
