Here is a picture from one of my many books I have on all different brands of machines. This picture shows this L-1800 LeTourneau Loader getting close to completion on the assembly line. LeTourneau Model Progress- I Have the rear cooling doors mounted and the rear axle is now in place. This morning I built the rear bumper and hitch . I am now building the two rear platforms with railings and steps and the walkways that give access to the engine as the worker is doing in the above picture. This afternoon I will get the top engine sheet metal in place and then I will build the first 3 fire suppressor tanks and mount them as the above picture shows. You can also see the side air filtration system box and tomorrow I should have that built and in place. Gaylord Weather- We still have a inch of snow on the ground , but the sun is shining and the weatherman said to play hooky today because this may be our last nice day this year,LOL. No , Seriously , we get very few sunny days in the Gaylord area during the winter. Last winter we went 9 straight weeks without a single sunny day. I told Deb I was going to play hooky today and go cruisin in the Vette all day, ha, ha. Just kidding. Have a nice sunny Mon.
